OCM Manufacturing Appoints Kenneth Roots To Develop New Markets
Ottawa’s OCM Manufacturing has announced that Ken Roots, an entrepreneur with many years of experience in the electronics manufacturing field has joined the OCM marketing team with a responsibility for developing new markets.
Ken has a 23 year background in business development, including 13 years providing technical sales and support services on behalf of various component manufacturers, original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and contract manufacturers (CM).
Ken played an important role with MEMEC International where he helped to re-invent the component distribution industry by providing ground breaking, innovative engineering support services to Canadian OEMs and CMs.
Ken was also instrumental in developing the EMS division for OCM in the late 1990s, and he helped position the firm as an original member of the Sparton Alliance, a seven-member, $400-million manufacturing network with participating companies in North America and Europe.
Ken holds a Diploma in General Arts & Sciences with majors in Business Law and Psychology from Algonquin College in Ottawa, Canada, and is also certified by the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) through Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.
