OCM Manufacturing China Adds SMT Line

Increases output capacity for offshore projects.

21 January, 2013 – Ottawa, Canada, and Shenzhen, China – OCM Manufacturing’s Chinese operation has added another SMT line to its capabilities. This increases the facility’s production capacity with Siemens pick-and-place, a Suneast reflow oven, and Aleader automated optical inspection (AOI). The line is fully automated, from PCB printing through component placement, reflow, and inspection.

This expansion complements the company’s 2012 expansion to two SMT lines as well as full box-build services in Ottawa. The company’s target market–-OEMs of low- to mid-volume products-–benefit from additional throughput and service options for projects both onshore and off shore.
